Neither can the school be held responsible for driving test appointments postponed by the Driving Standards Agency. 5. OFFICIAL DRIVING TESTS - The driving school will frequently discuss with pupils their progress to date and try to forecast accurately when the pupil is likely to be ready to take the driving test. Taking into consideration the forecast of the pupils achievement of the test standard, and driving test waiting times, the driving school will discuss with, and advise the pupil when to apply for the driving test. However the driving school reserves the right to withhold the school’s vehicles for the driving test, if in the school’s opinion the pupil has not reached the required standard. If this course of action is required the driving school will, whenever practicable give sufficient notice to the pupil to avoid loss of the driving test fee, although this may not always be possible, e.g. in the case of intensive courses and when lessons are cancelled just prior to the date of the test. The price for the use of the driving school car for the driving test will be at the same rate as normal driving lessons. 6. CANCELLATION OF LESSONS BOOKED – Please note that 48 hours notice is required when cancelling lessons.
